About Us
Children of Promise Stable, Inc., is a Not-For-Profit 501 (C)(3) tax-exempt corporation, that provides professional equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) for both children and adults with special needs through a diversified equestrian riding program. Founded in 2001, we are a first-class facility designed to foster positive emotional growth, independence and improve the physical and social well being of our clients.
We want to enrich lives of special needs individuals by promoting excellence in equine assisted activities. Our focus is on providing an equine program designed for each individual’s educational, physical, social and recreational goals. We look to encourage an "I can do it" attitude for those who have been previously limited in their abilities.
Sinead Murphy
Sinead Murphy was of our riders from 2012 through 2013. Sinead loved to ride and her favorite horse was Amigo. Her bright eyes and warm smile brought joy to everyone at the barn each time she came for lessons. Sinead’s concern for others, including the horses, was always greater than her concern for herself. Sinead would have loved the indoor riding arena, she was very sensitive to weather conditions and couldn’t ride in heat or wind. Aside from the happiness that riding brought to Sinead, she also gained improved core strength, fun time with her sisters who would often volunteer, and quiet moments with her beloved Amigo.
For many years, scholarship donations were available to several of our riders in memory of Sinead. Sinead will forever ride within our hearts.
